CADDO MILLS — Ruth Virginia Buchanan, 86, formerly of Caddo Mills, died Jan. 1, 2007, at Lake Point Senior Care Center. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rentfrow Funeral Home in Caddo Mills.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Caddo Mills, with Rev. Ray Richey officiating. Burial will be in Caddo Mills IOOF Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 17, 1920, in Caddo Mills to George Percy Cozart and Ena Reeves Cozart. She married Douglas Buchanan on Aug. 10, 1940, in Rockwall. She was a retired seamstress with Haggar Slacks.
Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law David and Becky Buchanan of Caddo Mills, Jerry and Carolyn Buchanan of Sachse; a brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Lila Cozart of Detroit, Texas; a sister, Ruby Moser of Lyndale; grandchildren and spouses, Scott and Kay Buchanan of Wylie, Christa and Raymon Montgomery of Copeville and Heather and Ben Bentley of Caddo Mills; great-grandchildren, Reece Gentry of Garland, Mathew Buchanan of Wylie, Shawn Bentley of Caddo Mills, Tyler Gentry of Wylie, John Bentley of Caddo Mills, Caleb Montgomery of Copeville, Sam Buchanan of Wylie, Ben Montgomery of Copeville and Madison Bentley of Caddo Mills; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Buchanan, on July 16, 1985.
