Will Green Rites Friday Afternoon

Will Green, a resident of Celeste and a retired farmer, died at 2:45 AM, Thursday, in a Wolfe City hospital, following an illness of four years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, in the Celeste Methodist Church. The Rev. Homer Caldwell of Royse City and the Rev. Albert Click of Celeste will officiate. Burial will be in the Webb Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Green was born March 22, 1877, in Hunt County, the son of Frank Green and Myna Oaks Green.

He was married to Miss Willie Goodman on January 8, 1905, in White Rock. He had been a member of the Celeste Methodist Church for forty years. He was a former resident of Greenville and Campbell.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Burl Green, Austin Green, Roy Green, Vernon Green, Glen Morris Green, and Conner Green.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Cleatis Hudson, Celeste; one son, Earl Green, Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Powell, and one brother, Sherman Green of Greenville, and several other relatives.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret Jean Burns in 1958, and by one son in 1909.

Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home is in charge.
