This burial site and monument is located In Comfort, Texas on High Street, between 3rd and 4th Sts., Kendall County, Texas.


Treue der Union

The following men were killed at the battle on the west wing of the Nueces river by Confederate Forces

August 10, 1862. Their remains were interred in a common grave on August 20, 1865. A momument  honoring

all the Union Loyalist who died trying to reach Mexico was erected and dedicated August 10, 1866.
