MECKEL, (RUDOLPH) HOUSE
211 E. Theissen, Boerne
DESCRIPTION: One story, frame cottage; handsome gingerbread, turned posts & turned post ballustrade on porch; fish scale shingles in gable; pendants at corner of eaves below gable; bay window on west front, with gingerbread. Two front doors have transomes overhead.

HISTORY: After Mrs. Beyer built this house in 1905, the records show that she sold it in 1908 to Ernst and Verna Beseler. They kept it for several years, selling it in 1911 to Mrs. Emilie Voges. In 1927 ownership passed to Mathilde Voges, then in 1932 to William F. Schwope. Next Mrs. Meta Collins owned the house and in 1942 Rudolph Meckel purchased it. They must have kept it as a life estate after which it passed on to others not recorded in these files.
