MARVIN SCHWARZ HOUSE
616 E. Blanco

HISTORY: This was the home of Marvin and Viola Habenicht Schwarz. Viola Schwarz submitted the following for publication in A History of Kendall County, Texas: "I married Marvin Schwarz, grandson of Adam Schwarz of Boerne, and lived in Boerne. Marvin worked for Civil Service at Camp Stanley for 30 years. I inherited 300 acres of the Habenicht property which was part of the Behr property and is still in the Schwarz family." She continues, "Marvin and I live on Blanco Street in Boerne where the boys grew up and where I am still living. Marvin died in 1982 and is buried in the Sisterdale Cemetery." Viola joined Marvin in the Sisterdale Cemetery later, and the heirs sold this property to a company who built an office building behind the house. A large sign denoting this to be the Schwarz Homestead was erected.- compiled August, 2018
