HISTORY: Sister Era Davis, Sister Frankie Ferrell, Sister Nettie Benson, Brother Sandy Benson and Rev. C. L. McKenzie formed a Missionary Society in order to acquire the title to land incidental to organizing a Baptist Church at Boene, Texas and in due time church was born. The church was being used until the year 1978 when the membership was dissolved and the property was offered for sale.

Callie Monroe taught Sunday School under the big trees on the side of the hill before the building was erected and she paid the pastor $ 2.50 to hold one service a month. The Mt.
