ST. MARK PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
208 W. Bandera St., Boerne

HISTORY: Many discussions among members of Leon Springs Presbyterian Church regarding organizing a church in Boerne, had taken place but it was Oct. 4, 1964, when the active Elders from Boerne, Colonel Will V. Parker and John A. Merrell, were given official permission to select a Strategy committee to explore the interest among all members of the Boerne area, at that time numbering 56 members and 7 attending occasionally as friends.

On March 19, 1967, with many friends in attendance, dedication service of the building was held. Many representatives of other churches attended. From August 1971 to January 16, 1972 Dr. Ralph Graham, of Trinity University, served as interim pastor. It was on January 16, 1972 the Rev. William H. Orton arrived to become permanent pastor.
