The Reason Moon family of our Bowling Leon County Community had
three sons to serve as Confederate soldiers.
Jefferson Elbert, Wiley Britt and Mescayah all were first to join the Texas
Hunters. All were recognized as valiant men of the Gray. They returned to Leon
County and were important Leaders of County and community development.
