IN THE NAME OF THE STATE OF TEXAS.
To all to whom these presents shall come, know ye,
I, L.S. Ross Governor of the State aforesaid, by virtue of the power vested in me by Law, and in accordance with the Laws of said State, in such case made and provided, do, by these presents Grant to M.J. McMillan his heirs or assigns, Forever, One hundred and Sixty, 160, acres of Land, situated and described as follows:

In Leon County on the waters of Alligator Creek about 14 3/4 miles N40W from Centerville, By virtue of an affidavit
Made before B.D. Dashiell, a N.P. of Leon Co., Jan 28th 1887. Under an act for the benefit of actual occupants of the Public Lands, approved May 26th 1873. Beginning at the NW Cor. of Mary Sanford Sur of 233 acres, in the E line of J. Byrnes Survey, Thence N30W with Said Byrnes line 930 vrs to a rock for cor, a P.O.lrs S80E7 vrs, a B.J. lrs N68W7 vrs. Thence N67E1232 vrs, a stake in the W. line of Mary Sanford large Sur, a B. Gum lrs S76W11 vrs,a willow lrs S33E5vrs. Thence South 1002 vrs to the N.E. Cor of sd Sanford's Sur. of 233 acres. Thence South 67W with said Sandford's line 727 vrs to the place of beginning. Bearings mkd Two blazes and one chop.

Hereby relinquishing to him the said M.J. McMillan and his heirs or assigns Forever, all the right and title in and to said Land, heretofore held and possessed by the said State, and I do hereby issue this Letter Patent for the same.

In Testimony Whereof, I have caused the Seal of the State to be affixed, as well as the Seal of the General Land Office.
Done at the City of Austin, on the Twelfth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighty Seven.
