Funeral services for Mr. Elton Rich, 76, will be held on Sunday, Nov
4, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett.
Interment will follow the services at Russell Cemetery. Bro James
Engle and Bro. Billy Bob Evans will officiate. Visitation will be
held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rich passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 in Groesbeck.
He was a heavy equipment operator working in the pipeline construction
industry. He traveled to many parts of the United States and
Canada with his work. He was a long time member of the
International Union #178. Mr. Rich was always willing to help
anyone who needed it and was loved by all. He married Jeri on July
9, 1953, and shared over fifty-four years together.
He is survived by his wife, Jeri Rich of Jewett, two daughters, Jerianne
Griffin of California and Coletta Lanman & husband Mike of Pearland, one
sister, two brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives &
friends. Mr. Rich was preceded in death by one sister.
