James Wavrick – died 14 May 2009 – Walters Funeral Home

James Norbert Wavrick was born June 15, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to John Edward and Jane Theresa (Schruck) Wavrick. He served his country in the U.S. Army (82nd Airborne) from 1956 to 1958. He was a sales representative for a Formica manufacturer for many years. He moved to Houston in 1983 and retired in Buffalo in 2004. He was an avid golfer, loved sailing and the outdoors. He is preceded in death by his parents. James passed away Thursday morning in the Copper Creek Nursing Home in Buffalo, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Sherrill Wavrick of Buffalo, Texas; three daughters, Sandra Mikolajczyk and husband, Tony of Brooklyn, N.Y., Jane Parker and husband, David of Irvine, CA., and Julie Wavrick of Paris, France; one step-son, Milam Noble of Buffalo, Texas; one brother, John E. Wavrick, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Lily, and Henry; four nieces and one nephew.

A special thanks to the staffs of Copper Creek Nursing, and Providence Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to James.
