On Sept. 28,1904 the following named Brethren and Sisters-to wit:
J A GENTRY, Sarah GENTRY, Lucinda GENTRY, Cleavie GENTRY, J K WILLIAMS, Fannie WILLIAMS, J S WILLIAMS, Alvie WILLIAMS, Hardie WOODS, Ada WOODS, T S WOODS, Amanda WOODS, Belle WOODS, J W WALDROP, Anna WALDROP, J E WALDROP, Jane WALDROP, Henry WALDROP, Eva WALDROP, Linne WALDROP, came together at Brooks School House with letters from Liberty Baptist Church of Rusk Co. Tex. and organized themselves into a church by adopting the church covenant. By motion it was agreed that Brooks Chapel should be the name of the church.
By motion the church unanimosly elected Eld. Jas. A LONG pastor the the ensuing year.
Privilege of the church was extended and the following joined on forthcoming of letters: Frank GENTRY and Sister Mary GENTRY and Sister M L JOANS.
By motion the conference adjourned to meet sat. before the fourth Sun. in Oct. 1904.
