The oldest record we could find was an instrument made on 1 May 1889 and filed for record on 1 May 1889 in Book CH Vol 16 Page 137 transferring 1.5 acres of the William Sims survey from J. P. Jamison to Jamison Chapel School and Church. The oldest marked grave was that of Tommy Thurmond (originally buried as a Jamison) who died in 1891. On 26 Oct 1998 this cemetery was surveyed by Lawrence and Sue Dale. As there is family buried here, we visit several times per year and were there also on 29 Jan 2003 to take the GPS Coordinates."
