Sherry Cemetery, 3 Sep
1903,"This cemetery is located in the southwest quadrant
of Red River County, Texas. GPS COORDINATES: Datum WGS84: 33
Deg 32.667N, 95 Deg 06.197W. From Clarksville at the intersection
of Hwy 82 and FM 909, take FM 909 south about 5.6 miles to the
intersection with CR 1360. Take CR 1360 west about .8 miles until
you intersect with CR 1355 and CR 1357. The cemetery is at the
back of the Sherry Church. There is a deed dated 15 Jan 1912
from C. W. Morris et ux to Sherry Baptist Church for 3/4 acres
on Frances Blundell Survey and filed for record on 17 Jan 1912
in Book CH 73 page 394. While there is only one marked burial,
there is evidence of more that were never marked. This site was
visited by Lawrence and Sue Dale on 22 Nov 1998. We visited the
site again on 7 Dec 2003 and took the GPS readings."
