Tinsley Cemetery, 16 Nov 1867,"This cemetery is located in the northwest quadrant of Red River County, Texas. GPS COORDINATES: Datum WGS84: 33 Deg 48.282N, 95 Deg 16.965W. This cemetery is located just south of Woodland off FM 410 on the west on property currently owned by Ruby Melton Ross. It is located behind the Melton Home, southwest across the pasture and across the large creek 5/10 mile from the road. It is near the line of the headright survey of William Bailey and Daniel Perkins and probably a little inside the Daniel Perkins survey. The oldest marked burial is that of Chas. B. Tinsley who died on 16 Nov 1867. This cemetery was surveyed by Lawrence and Sue Dale on Valentines Day, February 14, 1999. We visited the site again on 26 Dec 2003 and took the GPS readings."
