Valentin Barrera Gonzalez
From the March 10, 2006 issue of the Terrell County News-Leader, page 2:Fort Stockton - Funeral services were Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church here for Valentin Barrera Gonzalez, 54, of Fort Stockton. He died February 24, 2006 in Oklahoma City and was buried at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Father Floro Hinacay of Sanderson presided at the service.
Gonzalez was born in Sanderson to the late Baldo and Estefana Gonzalez, Sr., on September 30, 1951. He served in Vietnam and worked in building construction. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Surviving are one son, Val Gonzalez of Geneva, Ohio; a daughter, Eliza Rubia Gonzalez of Fresbi, California; three brothers, Baldo and Petra Gonzalez, Jr., of Fort Stockton, Johnny Gonzalez of Bryan and Tony and Naomi Gonzalez of Banquete; one sister, Rose Mary and Roland Ybarra of Bryan; and two grandchildren.
