from the July 7, 2006 issue of the Terrell County News-Leader, page 2:Dallas - Funeral services are today, July 7, 2006, for Louise S. Rose, 99, a member of the long-time Terrell County pioneer Rose family, who died Tuesday, July 4, 2006.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Dallas, the Rev. Herb DeWees officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
She was born September 29, 1906, in Fort McKavett to Frederick and Judith Striegler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh F. Rose, son-in-law John H. Silverthorne, grandson John Silverthorne, Jr., brother Joe Striegler and her sister Mabel Gibson.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Landon Silverthorne; a sister, Katherine Mayfield; one granddaughter, one great granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
