Rita Pena Silvas
from the July 14, 2006 issue of the Terrell County News-Leader, page 2:Sanderson - Funeral services were at St. James Catholic Church here Saturday for Rita Pena Silvas, 68, of Del Rio, a Sanderson native who died Wednesday in San Angelo.
Father Floro Hinacay officiated. Burial was in Santa Rita Cemetery.
She was born in Sanderson on February 10, 1938, and married Sylvestre G. Silvas on November 21, 1951, in Sanderson. Rita was a homemaker and a Catholic. She had lived in Del Rio for 12 years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Sylvestre P. Silvas of Baytown; three daughters, Rosa Olvera of Carrisso Springs and Clelia Carrillo and Emma Aguilar, both of Odessa; a brother, Higinio Pena of Fabens; two sisters, Ramona Prada of Fort Stockton and Clotiode Hernandez of Casa Grande, Arizona; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral arrangements were by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
