Erwin Zea Casey (see William
Joseph Casey) was married to Julia Lovel
in October, 1927. There were four
sons and two daughters born to this union:
(1) Harvey Loyd
went to Alvin, Texas, as a young man, and
married Juanita Johanson, still lives in
Alvin. They had two sons, Russell
and Rex.
(2) Erwin Eugene
served in the Korean War. Shortly
after returning from the service he took a
job that took him to Baton Rouge,
Louisiana, married Barbara Fitzgerald and
settled in the small town of Baker.
They had one son, Tim, and one daughter,
Brenda. Eugene and Barbara were both
killed in the crash of Pan Am Flight 759
at Kenner, Louisiana. on Julv 9, 1982, and
149 other passengers perished in the
crash, including five other members of
Barbara's family.
(3) Frances Ann
married W. D. Baker in 1951. They
have two sons, Ronald and Terry, and two
daughters, Diane and Wendolyn. They
have settled near Blanket where they are
engaged in trucking and dairy
farming. Frances has also worked in
the Blanket School for a number of years;
(4) Larry
(Dickie) Casey married Faye Harrell, a
Coleman County girl, and they had two
daughters, Rita Faye and Debbie
Yvonne. Dickie has been employed in
the oil fields several years and makes his
home in Kermit.
(5) Patsy Ellen
married Ronald Hampton in 1957. They
had three children: Cindy Darlene, Dwayne
and Lance. Ronald was an Air Force
person, so the family moved quite a lot,
spending three years in England.
Upon retiring from the service, they
settled in Abilene.
(6) Jimmy Dale,
the youngest of the Erwin Casey clan,
married Joyce Collins and moved to
Seattle, Washington. He worked in
the Alaskan oil fields. A son,
Joshua, was born while they were in
Seattle. After some time, the Caseys
returned to Texas, settling in Abilene.
