On
July 9, 1948, in the Methodist Church in
Ballinger, Ferman Pauley, born June 13,
1908, and Willa Faye Davis, born March
16, 1930, were united in marriage (see
Charles Wesley Davis and Pauley families).
They have lived in the Valera community
ever since their marriage, ranching,
raising sheep, goats and cattle.
They have three daughters :
Rebecca Ann,
born February 6, 1951, and married Bill
Martin of Trickham. They have two
daughters, Brandi and Buffy (see James
Felton Martin),
LeNora Fran,
October 9, 1952, and married Tim Mercer,
who owns and operates a cotton gin (see
Silas Hood Mercer), LeNora teaches
Special Education in San Angelo.
They have two daughters, Misty Faye,
born May 8, 1977 and Kari, November 30,
1978. They live in Van Court;
Virginia Sue,
August 17, 1955 and married Gary
Bouldin. They have two children, a
daughter, Melinda Lynn, born January 16,
1972, and a son, Monty Ferman, March 6,
1977. They live in the Mozelle community
where they farm and ranch. We have
five granddaughters and one
grandson. William Ferman Pauley
died March 17, 1981, buried in Valera.
