David was born 26, Aug. 1844 in Boneyard, Alcorn Co., Miss. and died 04, Dec. 1904 at home near Edgewood, Van Zandt Co. Texas. Dates of his birth and death were taken from Jane Bradberry's Bible and family records. He was 76 years old. He first married Sarah Elizabeth Hunt before 1874. They had 2 children, Mary Allie Wade born 11 Dec 1875 and George Soloman "Sol" Wade born 18 Oct 1880. It was said by a granddaughter, Adelle Martin Gorsch, that Sarah asked her girlfriend to marry her husband and take care of her 2 children. Sarah died 21 Jan 1883.
David Allen's second marriage was to Abbie Wills on 05, Nov., 1884 in Van Zandt Co., Texas. Their children were, John A. Wade born 02 Jan 1885, David A. Wade born 18 Nov 1886, Abbie Elizabeth "Betty" Wade born 04 Apr 1888, Lola B. Wade born Apr 1891, Missouri "Zura" Wade born Feb 1893, Sarah H. Wade born 19 Mar 1895, and Jewel E. Wade born Aug 1897, David was a confederate soldier. Abby died at age 47 years.
