| NOTES: William Willard was a farmer in both TN and TX. He had 6 children by his first wife and 12 by his second. He and his entourage left Cannon Co., TN in 1870 and made the trip to Freestone Co., TX in 7 weeks. They settled in the Lakes Chapel/Ward Prairie area of the county and helped begin the Baptist Church there. With or soon after them other families making the trip bore the surnames: Odom, Orand, Owens, Duggan, Keaton, and Hancock |
