 The Julia Eva (Draper) Smith Biography
 1935 - 2003 Julia
Draper Smith, born August 19, 1935, graduated from Coleman High School
in 1954. She married J. B. Smith, Jr. in July 1954. Their
first child, Brenda was born in 1957, followed by a second daughter, Malinda, in 1960. Julia had a very stong
conviction to receive her teaching degree. She attended college at
Howard Payne College (now Howard Payne University) in Brownwood, Texas.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1970. Over the 33 years of
teaching service, she made many important accomplishments for Coleman
High School. Among them, she organized J.E.T.S. (Junior
Engineering Technical
Society), and many U.I.L. events.
